Soothe® xp Emollient (Lubricant) Eye Drops

Ordinary lubricant eye drops simply provide moisture which can evaporate quickly from the surface of the eye.  While Soothe® xp also provides moisture, it contains Restoryl®, the advanced lipid restorative which provides a barrier to tear loss for relief that lasts up to 8 hours.  Expect temporarily blurred vision upon application, as Soothe® xp eye drops seal in moisture.

Upon application, you may experience momentarily blurred vision as SootheXP eye drops seal in moisture.

Thin or Missing Lipids Allow Drying

Normally, nature provides your eyes with the ideal protection – a multi-layered combination of protein, water and oils (called lipids) that coats the eye’s surface between blinks, keeping it moist, lubricated and comfortable. The outermost layer, which contains lipids, works to retain moisture and prevent tear fluid loss due to evaporation.

Normal Tear Film Protects Eye Surface

Often, dry eye sufferers lack a complete lipid layer resulting in an inadequate amount of tear fluid. The result may be a burning, gritty sensation and/or blurred vision. Without the lipids they need, the eyes can even become watery and painful. Ordinary lubricant eye drops simply provide more moisture which can evaporate quickly from the surface of the eyes.

Remove contact lenses before use.  Shake well before using.  Instill 1 or 2 drop(s) in the affected eye(s) as needed or as directed by your doctor.

Other Information: temporarily blurred vision is typical upon application.  Drops appear as a milky white solution.  Store at 15°-30°C  (59°-86°F).
