Matheson Optometrists has earned the trust of the population of Hampshire and surrounding counties for over 30 years. At our Chapel Street practice you will see the familiar, friendly staff, particularly Stuart who is always on hand to help with your queries.

Here you will find all the latest and best diagnostic equipment, most of which would not be considered commonplace in your average opticians. We have Zeiss Cirrus OCT equipment, retinal and autofluorescence image capabilities and have therapeutically qualified optometrists in regular attendance. We believe we are able to provide you with a standard of eyecare which was inconcevable not all that long ago. All Matheson Optometrists practices are wheelchair friendly and are suitibly equipped to aid the elderly. There is free one hour parking on street right outside of the practice and across the road in Broad street you will find ample 2 hour free parking spaces. For longer stays there are car parks along Station road in which you can stay for a reasonable fee.

Our Alresford practice is one of our bigger and busier practices and has a vast range of spectacle frames for you to choose from. Often in attendance is Nick. This gentlemen is highly skilled and can guide you with spectacle frame and lens selection ensuring you have the perfect glasses for your needs and desires.

Alresford is situated on the B3047 just off of the A31, between Winchester and Farnham.

We have modern workshop facilities enabling rapid spectacle manufacture, often the same day. In addition to our own brands, We stock Lindberg ,Bellinger Maui Jim, Avanglion, Lacoste, Nike, Calvin Klein and many others.

We stock and fit all types of contact lenses, punctal plugs, intra-canalicular plugs and our optometrists regularly attend CET (continued educational training) courses to ensure that they are up to date. We are involved with our local hospitals diabetic monitoring scheme and glaucoma co-management scheme.

Currently all our mail order products are supplied from our head office address here in Alresford. Goods are normally dispatched by courier for next day delivery in the UK. As these require signing for, it is important that there is someone present at the delivery address to acknowledge reciept of the goods. Payment is by credit or debit card or by cleared cheque in advance of dispatch.
